Magento 2 Order Attachment
Magento 2 Order Attachment by Meetanshi allows customers to add attachments such as Images, PDFs or any type of Files/Docs while placing the orders.
- Attach order docs and files from the checkout page and My Account Order View page.
- Admin also can upload order attachments from backend.
- Email notification for attachment upload.

My customers are getting the error while uploading order attachments, what is the reason for it?All the order attachments are saved in the path specified in the extension configuration under “Attachment Directory” option. Make sure the directory for the order attachment has the writing permission. If not, give it and your customers attachments will be uploaded and saved afterwards.
My customers are uploading large sized attachments which is occupying more space in my database, what can I do?Restrict the attachment file size to be uploaded by the customers under the “Max. Attachment File Size” option from the extension configuration.
Can my customers drag and drop attachments while uploading from the checkout page?No, right now the customers have to browse the attachment file to upload but we are working on enabling the drag and drop functionality for order attachments. It will be included in the upcoming upgrade.
I don’t want to allow uploading attachments to the not logged in customers, is that possible with your order attachment extension?From the General Settings under the option “Enable Order Attachment for Customer Groups”, you can select customer groups to which you want to allow uploading attachments. Simply select customer groups other than not logged in to restrict not logged in customers uploading order attachments.
Can my customers upload order attachments after the order is placed?Yes, select Yes to the option “Can Customers Add Attachments in Existing Orders” to allow customers uploading order attachments to the existing orders even after the order is placed.
I want to get notified when my customers upload attachment to the existing orders, is there any option in your order upload extension?Yes, you can get notified with an Email when your customers upload attachments to the existing orders. Simply set Yes to the option “Notify Admin when Customers Add Attachments in Existing Orders” from the extension configuration.
I’m using checkout one page, can my customers add attachments while placing the orders?To allow your customers uploading attachments from the checkout one page, select Yes to the option “Allow Customers to Add Attachment from Checkout One Page” from the extension configuration.
I’m selling personalized products for which I want to allow customer explain their requirements, is there any option to allow customers adding message along with the order upload?Yes, you can enable the comment box on the checkout page to allow customer upload the attachment and add message while placing the order. But to enable the comment box on the checkout page, set Yes to “Enable Comment Box on Checkout Page” option from the extension configuration.
Can I upload the attachments to customers’ orders from the backend?Yes, all the customers attachments are displayed in “Order Attachments” tab under the order view section in the backend. The admin can manage customers attachments and add new attachment from here.
Can I hide attachments in customer’s my account section?Yes, the “Order Attachments” tab in the order view backend comes with an option to hide attachments. Simply enable “Show on Customer Account Order View Page” from it to hide order attachments.
