Steps to configure Google Pay for Magento 2 extension:

1. Navigate to Google Pay Business Console and get your Google Pay merchant identifier

2. Login to Magento 2 admin panel.

3. Go to Stores > Configuration > Sales > Payment Methods

4. Click the “configure” button next to the Google Pay

5. Under GPay Merchant Credentials, enter the Merchant ID and Merchant Name

6. Under the Gateway Credentials

  • Select the preferred payment gateway
  • The environment in which you want the extension to be executed
  • The payment gateway credentials obtained while registration for the integration with the Magento 2 store
  • Enable sandbox mode for testing if required

7. Enable Google Pay and choose the card networks that you would like to accept.

8. The advanced settings offer the button customization options as well as enabling the Google Pay for mini cart

Once configured, Google Pay is enabled in the frontend as shown in the below screenshots:

Note: If your payment provider isn’t listed as an option in the payment gateway list, check to see if your payment provider’s plugin has built-in support for Google Pay.
