Security enhancements

Magento (Adobe Commerce) is now more secure than ever. The latest 2.4.7 version introduces 13 security fixes and improvements.

• It introduces fixes to security vulnerabilities as listed in the security bulletin APSB23-35. These include some of the most critical vulnerabilities including cross-site scripting and XML Injection.
• The default behavior of the existing REST endpoint has been changed.
• Merchants can now limit the rate for the payment information transmitted through REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Risk associated with {BASE-URL}/page_cache/block/esi HTTP endpoint has been fixed.

Platform enhancements

Adobe has worked on enhancing the platform with the latest security best practices.

The Magento 2.4.7 introduces support for:

• Many components upgraded to their latest versions.
• Both PHP 8.3 and 8.2.
• Composer 2.6.x. (Composer 2.2.x support remains)
• Varnish Cache 7.4.
• RabbitMQ 3.11
