How to Configure Magento 2 Newsletter

In 2019, the number of global e-mail users amounted to 3.9 billion and is set to grow to 4.48 billion users in 2024. – Statista

These numbers are promising enough to focus on the email marketing campaign in your online store.

Fortunately, the default Magento 2 allows the merchant to send newsletters to customers. The guest can also receive the newsletters if they wish.

Sending newsletters to customers regarding the latest updates, promotions, discounts and loyalty programs is part and parcel of store’s newsletter campaigns.

Newsletters help the merchant to stay in touch with the customers. By seeing the newsletter in which the Magento 2 store has sent information regarding discounts and offers, the customers may prefer to buy and take the advantage of discounts and offers. I would also recommend to manage newsletter subscriptions to capture customers’ attention using informational and product-focused content.

The statistics from Hubspot will prompt you to configure Magento 2 newsletter if you’re yet not convinced:

  1. 73% of millennials prefer communications from businesses to come via email.
  2. 78% of marketers have seen an increase in email engagement over the last 12 months
  3. 80% of business professionals believe that software for email marketing increases customer retention.
  4. 59% of respondents say marketing emails influence their purchase decisions.

Along with the newsletters, the merchant can use three individual templates for newsletters.

  1. Confirmation Email Template
  2. Success Email Template
  3. Unsubscribe Email Template
