Security vs. convenience!

The case-sensitivity in login credentials is a debatable topic.

Being on a safer side when it comes to Magento stores, it is recommended to configure the admin security such that the login is case sensitive.

Security cannot be compromised, especially, when the customer data is in the picture. The Magento store admin panel saves customer data entirely.

Additionally, the store is solely managed from the admin panel. Being crucial up to this level, it is only wise to configure the highest security possible.

And one of them is to change admin login to case sensitive in Magento 2 and Magento 1 stores. By default, this field is configured to be not case sensitive.

The post shows how to change login to case sensitive in Magento 1 and Magento 2.
