- You need to login to your Google account and go to Google Developers Console.
- Land on API library page where you need to click on YouTube Data API, enable the API by clicking on Create Project.
- Navigate to Credentials tab, click Create Credentials
- Select the API Key option to get an API.
- Now move to Catalog > Products > Edit a product. Navigate to Images and Videos section of Product and click on Add Video.
- Enter the Product video URL from YouTube. If the API key is invalid or you haven’t added it yet, you will get an error message.
- After adding product video URL, click to save and jump back to the product page to check the video added.
- Now move to Catalog > Products > Edit a product. Navigate to Images and Videos section of Product and click on Add Video.
That’s it!
As far as Vimeo is concerned, the process is much simpler. All you have to do is paste video URL, edit the description and hit save!

I am receiving the error: Error: “Video cant be shown due to the following reason: Access Not Configured. YouTube Data API has not been used in project 1234567890123 before or it is disabled. Enable it by visiting https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/youtube.googleapis.com/overview?project=1234567890123 then retry. If you enabled this API recently, wait a few minutes for the action to propagate to our systems and retry.” I have regenerated the key thinking that might be the cause. I’m getting nowhere fast. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
