Stepwise Method to Add Size Chart in Magento 2
The default Magento 2 version does not provide any functionality to add size charts to the products and this functionality gap can be filled by using a Magento 2 Size Chart extension.
After installing the extension, you can follow the below-mentioned steps to add size chart in your Magento 2 store.
Step 1: Extension Configuration
- Log in to your Magento 2 Admin Panel, and head towards Size Chart > Configuration to configure the extension.
- Enable the Size Chart in Magento 2 and configure the following settings for the size chart button:
- Text: Enter a custom text to show on the size chart button in Magento 2.
- Text Color: Set size chart button text color.
- Background Color: Set the background color of the size chart button on the product page in Magento 2.
- Border Color: Set the size chart button border color.
- Icon: Upload a custom icon image for the size chart to show on the button.
Step 2: Manage & Add Size Chart in Magento 2
- Once you have configured the Size Chart button settings, go to Catalog > Size Chart > Manage Size Charts to create and edit size charts for different products. The size chart grid will list all the present size charts in the store.
- To create a new size chart and add it to the products in your Magento 2 store, click on the ‘Add New Size Chart’ button present in the top right corner of the page.
- Create a new size chart by filling up the following details:
- Name: Enter the custom name for the size chart.
- Status: Select enable to show the size chart on the product pages in Magento 2, which can be configured later through the Display rules (in step 3).
- Store Views: Select all the applicable Magento 2 store views to show the size charts.
- Size Chart Display: Select how you want to show the size chart to the customers. You can choose to show the size chart in a popup view or directly on the product page.
In the WYSWYG editor, design the size chart as you want to show on the product pages and click on the ‘Save’ button to save the size chart in Magento 2.
Step 3: Size Chart Display Rules
Once you are done configuring and designing the size chart, click on ‘Display Rules’ to construct custom rules to show the size charts on specific products. The extension supports creating special rules and multiple conditions for adding the size chart option to the products in Magento 2.
The admin can construct multiple display rules and choose to display the size chart on products if only one or all conditions are fulfilled. It also offers the following options, which can be configured as per the requirements:
- Override Catalog And Product Settings: Select ‘Yes’ if you want the condition-based size charts to override the already allotted size charts to specific products and categories.
- Rules Priority: Enter rules priority in case you have entered multiple rules.
Step 4: Add Product-wise Size Charts in Magento 2
Once you have configured the size charts, you can add them to specific products through the product edit section. Go to Catalog > Products > Select Product and click on the size chart option to select the applicable size chart that we have already created in the previous steps.
Please note that to prevent the size chart display rules from overriding the product-wise size charts, you need to disable the ‘Override Product and Catalog’ option in the Size Chart Display Rules.
Size Chart in Magento 2 Frontend
Once the extension is configured correctly, it shows the size chart button on the applicable products in the Magento 2 frontend as per the configuration. Click the size chart button shows the applicable size chart in a popup view to the customers, thus allowing them to choose the best size for themselves.
