Magento 2 platform is capable to manage the Emails by default. The CMS also facilitates flexible configuration as per the business requirements.
The order Emails comprises of the emails that manage the customers’ order processes. In this post, the stepwise method to set up order confirmation Email in Magento 2 allows to automatically send the order confirmation email to the customers, and if required, to the admin too. However, before making any changes to your live site, it’s essential to set up a staging environment. This allows you to test any updates or changes without risking disruption to your live site.
Steps to Set Up Order Confirmation Email In Magento 2:

1. Login to admin panel
2. Navigate to Stores > Configurations
3. Under Sales, go to Sales Emails
4. Expand Order
- Enable the Order emails
- For New Order Confirmation Template, select the email template that is sent to registered customers
- For New Order Confirmation Template for Guest, select the email template that is sent to the guest users who do not have an account in the Magento 2 store.
- If you have to send the order Email to multiple contacts, for example, admins, mention the multiple addresses in a comma-separated manner in Send Order Email Copy To field.
- Choose one of the below in Send Order Email Copy Method:
- BCC – Send a “blind courtesy copy” by including other recipients in the header of the same Email that is sent to the customer.
- Separate Email – Send the copy in the form of a separate Email.
- Save the configuration.
