  1. Head to Admin from the sidebar and go to  System > Permissions > User Roles.
  2. Click the role in the list, head to Role information and click on Role Resources.
  3. Change Role Resources to Custom.

    – Allow Login as Customer – Allows the Admin user to use the Login as Customer feature.
    – View Login as Customer Log – Allows the Admin user to see the Login as Customer Log.

Use Login as Customer in Magento 2

Now that the foundation of this feature is set, you, as an admin, can log in to the store as a customer. Here is the navigation for you:

  1. From the Admin sidebar, go to Customers > All Customers.
  2. Now open a user in edit mode.
  3. From the Customer Information panel, select the Account Information section.
  4. Set the Allow remote shopping assistance to Yes.

Now, you can access the store as a customer without the user’s permission.
