Howdy, Magento Folks! In this tutorial, I am going to share the complete steps to create order in Magento 2 admin panel<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Placing an order on the Magento<\/a> front end is a straightforward process. But, sometimes, the customers may require your assistance with the order placement. This is where you may require to create an order in Magento 2 admin panel on behalf of the customers. You can also create orders in Magento 2 for offline customers to manage the inventory and track sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, we also showed you a method to create quotes & orders programmatically in Magento 2<\/a>. But now, it\u2019s the manual one from the backend <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, let\u2019s get to the point quickly! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps to Create Order in Magento 2 Admin Panel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce) allows you to create orders from the backend for registered as well as new customers. Follow these steps to create order in Magento 2 admin panel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Go to Admin Panel > Sales > Orders<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Log into your Magento 2 admin panel<\/a> and go to the Orders grid to create order in Magento 2 admin panel.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 2: Click Create New Order<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On the top-right corner of the Order <\/strong>Grid, click Create New Order <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Select Customer or Create a New One<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Now, from the list of all customers, select the customer for whom you want to create the order. Alternatively, you can click Create New Customer <\/strong>button at the top-right corner to add a new customer.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 4: Add Products to Order<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Once you\u2019ve selected\/created the customer, add products to the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can add the products either by SKU or browse from all the available products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click the Add Products <\/strong>button on the top-right corner of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n

Next, a list of all products available in your store will appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can search for products by ID, name, SKU, and other variables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the list of products, check the Select <\/strong>box against the products, enter the respective Quantity<\/strong>, and click Add Selected Product(s) to Order<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

In the case of configurable products, you will also need to select the configuration options.<\/p>\n\n\n

Add Products from the Shopping Cart\/Wishlist or Recently Viewed by a Customer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the left section of the create order page, you can find the customer\u2019s activities \u2014 items in the shopping cart, wishlist, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also add these items to the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, here\u2019s how to add shopping cart products to order. Tick the checkbox, as shown below, against the product, and click Update Changes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The selected product(s) will be added to the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can find the added products in the Items Ordered <\/strong>section.<\/p>\n\n\n

Here, you can remove items or move them to the shopping cart\/wishlist. You can also apply a coupon code\/gift card to the order from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5: Select Shipping & Billing Addresses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Once the products are added to the cart, you can move down further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Account Information<\/strong>, you can edit the customer group and also the email address of the customer. This is optional if you want to keep the default values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the Address Information<\/strong>, select from the existing customer address for shipping & billing. You can also enter new addresses.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 6: Select Payment & Shipping Methods<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Next, select the preferred payment and shipping methods for the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The available and eligible methods will be displayed on this screen.<\/p>\n\n\n

Optionally, you can also order a gift wrap for the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 7: Review Details & Complete Order<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Order Total <\/strong>section will display subtotal, shipping rates, applied tax (if any), and grand total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Review all the details, and click Submit Order <\/strong>button at the end to create order in Magento 2 admin panel.<\/p>\n\n\n
