The&nbsp;<code>all customers<\/code>&nbsp;is selected by default, which lists all the customers in the store.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/meetanshi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/1-customer-segments-in-shopify.png\" alt=\"Different customer segments in Shopify\" class=\"wp-image-30278\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also find other pre-defined customer segment filters such as email subscribers, customers with multiple purchases, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, Shopify allows merchants to create custom groups (segments) based on filters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s see how Shopify customer segmentation works!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Suppose you want to create a customer group that lists all the customers with a total amount spent of more than $200, you can follow these steps for that:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Expand Editor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First of all, click on the&nbsp;<strong>Show Editor&nbsp;<\/strong>option on the top-right side of the customer list.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/meetanshi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2-show-editor-to-create-customer-group-in-shopify.png\" alt=\"Show editor to create customer group in shopify\" class=\"wp-image-30279\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"step-2\">Step 2: Apply Filter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, a query box will appear on the screen, where you can create a custom filter or choose from a template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this example, we want to get a list of customers with a total amount spent of more than 200, so we\u2019ll use the following query:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><code>amount_spent &gt; 200<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and hit the&nbsp;<strong>Apply<\/strong>&nbsp;button. Therefore, you are not required to add\/remove customers manually after you create customer groups in Shopify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to create a customer group manually on your own, you can use the customer tags functionality. Just add the tags to the customers and create customer groups in Shopify by using the tag filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s as easy as that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"conclusion\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Creating and saving customer segments in Shopify is easy and straightforward, thanks to its intuitive interface.
