Every E-commerce store has a default page that can be accessed by the store\u2019s base URL.  When a visitor reaches out to the website, and no other page is specified, the default page is shown on a website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, to resolve an error of \u201cPage Not Found\u201d, the default pages are used. Generally, the home page of a website is the default page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The admin can follow these steps to set default pages in Magento 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method to Set Default Pages in Magento 2:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Log in<\/strong> to Magento 2 Admin Panel<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Navigate to Store > Settings > Configuration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Expand the General section<\/strong> and visit Web<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Expand the Default Pages<\/strong> section<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Default Web URL<\/strong> \u2013 Enter default value cms or any other value as per requirement<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • CMS Home Page<\/strong> \u2013 Select Home Page of your Magento 2 website<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Default No-Route URL<\/strong> \u2013 The predefined value is \u201ccms\/index\/noRoute\u201d. Enter other value as per your requirement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • CMS No Route Field<\/strong> \u2013 It appears when a \u201c404 Not Found\u201d error occurs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • CMS No Cookies Page<\/strong> \u2013 It refers to the CMS page that is shown when cookies are disabled in the browser.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    5. Allow or Disallow Breadcrumbs<\/strong> (It appears at the top of all CMS as navigation)
    6. Click on Save Config<\/strong>
    <\/p>\n\n\n\n
